about

There is a story of the Prophet Muhammad and his djinn, or a dark shadowy being that walks with him (and that one of these djinn walks with every man). The djinn is a man's shadow, and for the Prophet Muhammad, his djinn submitted, as he did, to the will of Allah.

It has been said that many djinn were converted by Muhammad when he spoke the Word of God to them.

If we have a dark side, let us bring it to God so that this dark side might also submit to the will of the Most High. Even the darkest parts of ourselves can be redeemed by God and used to do good. For those of us who have confronted our dark side, or are beginning to confront it now, let us remember this. God does nothing by accident - even our darkest sides he has created and can bring back to himself. There is nothing that God cannot redeem. There is no one who God cannot save. And there is no darkness to which God cannot bring light.

"For God, who said, 'Light shall shine out of darkness,' is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ."
-2 Corinthians 4:6
