about

This album took over four years to complete.

And it's still a royal mess.

My apologies to Jesus Christ and Mother Mary.

This is one of a few albums that I feel very vulnerable releasing. I wonder if anyone should share stuff like this. But this was a thread of my life that didn't die out for a while. And all I have left, really, is this record.

I started work on this album in 2017. There might even be stuff from 2016 on this album. It's taken a very long time to complete this one, so there are parts of 2018, 2019, and 2020 on it, too. Its release has been much-anticipated among myselves during the past years, and it's been in a certain place (along with L-Scan's non-FICTION album) where I'm not sure if it will really be released or not. Both this album and non-FICTION seem very important, and I would hate to leave them out of Manifest Lexicon. They've gained meaning over the years, and although they might not have the same coherence as an album that came through, fully-formed, without obstruction in a few days, they do have their own themes and rules. And both have a singular muse. Ok, maybe there's not a singular muse. There was meant to be.

This one time I asked a Christian girl who Jesus Christ was.

"Mary's Baby," she said. "Joseph's step-son."

This album is the spiritual successor to Sun Flowers and the Decimal by Decimal album Tomorrow's News is an Art.

This album was recorded during several challenging periods in my life regarding my own mental health.

Please listen to track 16 "Citrus" to get a snapshot of the oddity of the mind in the early days of recording this record.

The last track here is the earliest recorded -
Boys on Earth was recorded on June 10th, 2016.

This album is similar in format, 17 songs, to Cold Universe.
